I’m the ideas guy: founder of 3form, the Webby award-winning digitally creative ideas lab based in Birmingham UK. My motto is “create something every day” and I’ve been trying hard to stick to that since 1999.
A the moment I am concentrating on my new venture Odadeo - online social networking and web tools for dads. We want to answer the question “How am I going to be a better dad?”
I am a current Clore Fellow, and until 2010 I am on an intensive programme of cultural leadership development which sees me taking a step back from many of the things I have been involved in to focus on my personal development.
I am co-founder of the experimental record label Type, one of the founding directors of Creative Republic, a representative, lobbying and networking group for the creative and cultural industries in Birmingham and the region, a board member of Fierce Festival - ‘the performance festival that bites’, and on the board of trustees of a school. I also lend my time to a number of other projects and organisations on a voluntary basis. In the past I helped set up Plus - the annual international design festival held in Birmingham annually.
I work in the rapidly expanding creative industries and have experience in developing a wide cross-section of digital content: websites, online communities, blogs, interactive tools, software, music, animation, graphic design, corporate identity, games, video, books, typefaces and photography.
At 30, I am still relatively young and always looking for exciting projects to be part of, whether working for clients, in partnership with other companies, on philanthropic work or on entrepreneurial ideas.
I have a strong interest in promoting and supporting the growth of the creative sector in the UK and particularly in Birmingham where I am based.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my young daughter Imogen, walking up mountains, djing, taking photographs and generally geeking with the latest web technology.
