Jubilee Debt Campaign Blog

Introducing a new blog for the Jubilee Debt Campaign in Birmingham.

Last night for Blog Action Day, some of the Birmingham bloggers got together to run a social media surgery, where not for profit organisations could get free advice and help with blogging and web tools for promoting what they do.

It was a big success, and we all went away having learnt things - pros and newbies alike. And as part of my time there I was offering half a day of time to build a site. It didn’t quite take that long, but I’ve helped the Birmingham Jubilee Debt guys to get started with blogging by setting them up with Wordpress for the first time. It was an eye opener for some on how easy, ungeeky and inexpensive it is it set yourself up with a perfectly acceptable free theme (this one is called Albeo by Elena G.)

Chris has photos and some comments about what we were trying to achieve.

The feedback was “when can we do another one of these?” so I’m hoping we can organise another one again soon.
