Shortlisted for an RTS award

We found out on Friday (yes I know I’m slow) that our work at 3form with Maverick for Channel 4 on the 4Tips project has been shortlisted for a Royal Television Society Innovation award!

To say that we’re stoked is an understatement and eagerly await getting our penguin suits out (I’m guessing black tie?) for the awards evening a month from now.

The idea behind 4tips was to produce a system that enabled user generated tips to be added to shows that Channel 4 broadcasts after the event and would allow people to discuss the show in an innovative and productive way - suggesting tips to eachother and rating them using ‘thumbs’ (up and down). The first two have been a success so far - Jamie Oliver at Home and How Clean is your House.

I hear that ’shortlisted’ means that we’re down to the last three for the award. Who knows - we might even win it and get to shake Peter Snow by the hand… We shall see…
